The Medical Center of Plano
The Medical Center of Plano is a full-service, 493-bed acute care hospital with more than 1,600 employees and over 1,000 physicians on staff, representing over 70 specialties and subspecialties. The Medical Center of Plano is the first hospital in Dallas, Collin, or Denton Counties to be awarded Comprehensive Stroke Center accreditation by the State of Texas. The Brain & Spine Hospital at The Medical Center of Plano provides world-renowned neuroscience care, including advanced treatments for brain cancer, life-saving interventions for stroke patients, as well as treatments for scoliosis and other complex spine disorders.
Our main campus in the heart of Plano includes the main hospital and medical offices, an outpatient surgery center, a comprehensive cancer-treatment center, an emergency and Level 2 trauma center, a radiology/imaging center, a comprehensive cardiovascular program, the Center for Lifestyle Enhancement, The Bariatric Surgery Institute, Wound Care Center, an inpatient rehabilitation unit, and complete women’s and children’s services including a high-risk antepartum unit and a Level 3 neonatal intensive-care unit. In 2014, The Medical Center of Plano opened an additional full-service, provider-based emergency department in northern Plano. The Medical Center of Plano opened The Burn & Reconstructive Center of Texas in October 2015, providing the first burn center in Collin County.
